Our Stem Cell Procedure

The stem cell procedure may be administered in different ways to treat different health conditions; intramuscular, intra-articular, intravenous, or spinal injections. Which method might you expect at our clinic? And how does our clinic administer stem cells for our regenerative medicine procedures?

How are Stem Cells Administered in Medicine?

Most stem cells are administered via intramuscular, intra-articular, intravenous, or intrathecal injections. Some treatments may also include a subcutaneous implant of stem cell-rich tissue.

What to Expect at a Typical Stem Cell Treatment Procedure?

We do so much more than just provide stem cell injections. Our holistic approach uses natural and supplementary treatments that address the root cause of your condition and boost your body’s natural healing.

Since every patient will react differently to the same treatment, our doctors customize their approach before, during, and after your stem cell procedure at our clinic to exceed your expectations.

  1. Step 1. No-obligation Consultation
  2. Step 2. Onboarding and Scheduling
  3. Step 3. In-clinic Whole-health Stem Cell Treatments!
  4. Step 4. Return Home and Follow-Ups
  5. Step 5. Follow-Up Treatments (If Required Due To Condition)

Step 1. No-obligation Consultation

To be good doctors, we first need to get to know you during an in-depth free consultation (remotely or in-person). During your consultation, our doctors will review your medical history, your current symptoms and conditions, and other medical documents relevant to your condition.

If a specific stem cell procedure is honestly the best solution for you, we will create a detailed treatment plan so you will know what will be done, why it is needed, when it will be completed, and how much it will cost.

Step 2. Onboarding and Scheduling

You select the treatment plan that best meets your needs and itinerary. A retainer is required to reserve the supplies and stem cells needed for your treatment plan. Then we will schedule all of your treatments within your travel dates.

We can help you book accommodations in beautiful tropical Puerto Vallarta, tourist activities, as well as recommend 3rd party financing and insurance options. Our team can also schedule to pick you up from the airport, provide healthy meals, and arrange transportation each day of your treatments at our clinic.

Step 3. In-clinic Whole-health Stem Cell Treatments!

On your first day, we will give you a warm welcome with a beverage of choice, a little tour of our facilities, and we will take vital measurements. A blood panel may be conducted to verify that you are eligible for optional PRP as a supplementary therapy.

You will typically be at our clinic for a couple of hours or longer on scheduled days for treatments. Your stem cell treatments at our world-class clinic will also incorporate supplementary regenerative therapies, detoxing treatments, and immune-boosting treatments to ensure maximum results. Using the measurements taken, we will monitor the progress of your healing journey from start to finish.

Step 4. Return Home and Follow-Ups

What an amazing experience! After your treatments are completed, we will meet to evaluate how you are feeling with your improved condition. We will equip you with the highest-grade supplements, home-care instructions, and treatment protocols that will keep your body in an optimal regenerative state. Follow these, and the stem cells we administered will continue rebuilding and regenerating for several months after you return home!

In a few weeks, we will schedule periodic remote consultations to check in on your progress and (if needed) determine follow-up treatments to reach your next benchmark.

Step 5. Follow-Up Treatments (If Required Due To Condition)

A single stem cell treatment may be enough to regenerate simple tissue damage, such as a sports injury. Most conditions, however, do require follow-up treatments to maximize regeneration and healing over the optimal period of time.

For chronic conditions, follow-up therapy with stem cells and other holistic medical treatments may be scheduled every 6 to 12 months. Whereas rapidly degenerative conditions may require follow-ups every 2 to 3 months.

Types of Stem Cell Methods and Applications

Intravenous (IV)

Description: Intravenous stem cell applications are a common way of providing regenerative treatment for several chronic degenerative conditions. This treatment is not for patients with specific pre-existing DNA mutations. IV stem cells should be prescribed by a qualified doctor.

Provider: A qualified doctor or registered nurse at the direction and supervision of a doctor administers this stem cell treatment. No anesthesia is generally required for this injection.

Length of procedure: Intravenous stem cells can take about 1 to 2 hours from start to finish.

Intramuscular (IM)

Description: Intramuscular stem cells are injected directly into the muscle to promote healing in that general area. This injection will help heal sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, and other tissue damage.

Provider: A qualified doctor or registered nurse at the direction and supervision of a doctor administers this stem cell treatment. No anesthesia is generally required for this injection.

Length of procedure: 30 minutes.

Intra-articular (IA)

Description: Intra-articular stem cells are injected into an affected joint to treat orthopedic conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis. This localized injection amazingly enhances the natural regeneration of the join tendon, ligaments, cartilage, and bone.

Provider: A qualified doctor or registered nurse at the direction and supervision of a doctor administers this stem cell treatment. No anesthesia is generally required for this injection.

Length of procedure: 1 to 2 hours.

Intrathecal Injection (Spinal Puncture)

Description: To reach the CSF and the brain, an injection of stem cells into the intrathecal space of the spinal cord (also called subarachnoid space) is used for treating injuries to the spinal cord, strokes, multiple sclerosis, and autoimmune diseases affecting the central nervous system.

Provider: An doctor or clinician qualified to administer epidural-type injections will provide the injection to the spinal canal through a vertebrae typically in the lower lumbar area.

Length of procedure: The intrathecal (spinal cord) stem cell treatment typically takes about 2 to 3 hours from start to finish.

Subcutaneous Tissue Implant

Description: A subcutaneous implant of stem cell-rich tissue called lyophilized placenta is placed in the abdominal region with the purpose of boosting the function and communication of your body with new umbilical cord stem cells.

Provider: A qualified physician will make a small insertion, place the stem cell-rich tissue, and suture the area. Anesthesia is provided.

Length of procedure: Administering this type of stem cell implant treatment takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.

How Is Stem Cell Therapy Performed at Holistic Bio Spa?

Holistic Bio Spa’s team of doctors and clinicians combine their skills and experience in all disciplines of medicine. For what purpose? To make sure your body is in optimal condition to receive and adequately use the stem cells. This is how we do it:
Prepare the soil

Every good farmer knows that for something to grow, the soil needs to be right.

So, based on your unique health conditions, we recommend various detoxing and immune-strengthening holistic treatments. For example: nutrition is a big factor because if the stem cells do not have enough building blocks to create new tissue, your results will be suboptimal.

Plant the seeds

Time to plant the seeds! We combine 100% safe and certified mesehchymal stem cells with additional holistic medical alternatives like PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to prompt your body to regenerate cells and tissues at a faster rate.

The stem cells will turn into healthy new cells, thus regenerating the affected regions even long after you step out of our clinic. But it doesn’t have to stop there.

Fertilized growth

Seeds grow best when given proper nutrients and care. Therefore, with optional therapies like exosomes, natural killer cells, ozone therapy, high-quality nutritional supplements, and joint formulas, we help your body to become a healthy, harmonious environment so that the stem cells can do their job properly.

A single injection contains millions of stem cells that go to work regenerating your body 6 months to 2 years!

Nobody comes close to our holistic protocol for regenerative medicine with stem cells.

We understand that, while worthwhile, this is a big investment in your health. That’s why (unlike others) we don’t just inject stem cells in you and walk away hoping for the best. Our proprietary procedure for administering stem cells makes sure you get the best results possible.
